All this being said, it can be a rewarding and exciting position. We’ve investigated homicides, suicides, traffic accidents, theft as well as locating long lost friends, relatives and others. Many times a case is like a puzzle where the challenge is to follow a lead to a successful conclusion. My intent was not to under-play our roll but to eliminate an applicant’s disappointment in not finding what they have perceived the profession to be.
